CollectingCollectables.com are selling this rare and collectable Picture Show magazine form July 6th, 1957 which has a large black and white photographic still image from the film “The Prince and the Showgirl” which starred Marilyn Monroe (1926 – 1962) and Lawrence Olivier (1907 – 1989), and was released in the US on June 13th, 1957 - just a few weeks before the publication of this Picture Show magazine.

 

The Prince and the Showgirl had 5 BAFTA Nominations for Best British Actor, Best British Film, Best British Screenplay, Best Film From Any Source, and Best Foreign Actress (Marilyn Monroe); Marilyn Monroe won the David di Donatello Award for her performance as Elsie the Showgirl; the Laurel Award for Top Female Comedy Performance by Marilyn Monroe; and won the National Board of Review (NBR) Award which went to Sybil Thorndike as Best Supporting Actress.

 

The cover has only very light age toning and wear and would be perfect for framing and display by a collector in an office or even a themed restaurant
